Emergency Response

AHD has played a pivotal role in emergencies in Pakistan; during year 2010, 11 and 22 torrential rain flood emergencies hit most parts of country; the organization raised funds from various donors, philanthropists and networks and provided communities support in WASH, Food, Shelter, NFIs and emergency healthcare. AHD emergency response program has been supported by Global Giving, Misereor Germany, Tearfund UK, Lufthansa Airline Germany, Help Alliance Germany, and ERF – UNOCHA and UNIOM. AHD has completed 10 emergency response projects by proving communities safe drinking water, food, WASH facilitation, provision of NFIs, transitional shelter support and medical camps in flood hit areas of district Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Jacobabad, Hyderabad, Tando Mohammad Khan and Sanghardistrict. The organization has reached 42800 families in emergency response in Pakistan.
