Pakistani Innovator Mr. Khurshid Bhatti Recognized as a Changemaker in Uplink’s Annual Impact Report 2025
Uplink, a global platform powered by the World Economic Forum to accelerate purpose-driven innovation, has unveiled its Annual Impact Report 2025, celebrating the top innovators who are creating scalable solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. Among this year’s recognized changemakers is Mr. Khurshid Bhatti, a prominent social innovator from Pakistan and the visionary behind the Nadi Filter Safe Drinking Water Solution.
Mr. Khurshid Bhatti, Founder of the Association for Humanitarian Development (AHD), has been acknowledged for his groundbreaking work in improving access to clean and safe drinking water in rural and underserved communities across Pakistan. His innovation, the Nadi Filter, offers a low-cost, clay-based water filtration system that harnesses indigenous knowledge to combat waterborne diseases and promote environmental sustainability.
The featured project, available on Uplink’s official platform, highlights how AHD’s Nadi Filter initiative has positively impacted thousands of families by providing a sustainable alternative to unsafe water sources. The filter is especially beneficial in flood-prone and drought-affected regions, where conventional clean water solutions are often inaccessible or unaffordable.
