AHD Admitted as an IUCN NGO Member

September 25, 2025

The Association for Humanitarian Development (AHD) is honored to announce its official admission as a Member Organization of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). This recognition was formally conveyed to us through a letter from the IUCN Pakistan Country Office, signed by Mr. Mahmood Akhtar Cheema, Country Representative, on behalf of IUCN Pakistan.

In the letter addressed to our Chief Executive Officer and President, Mr. Abdul Khurshid Bhatti, IUCN extended heartfelt congratulations and emphasized that AHD’s inclusion as an NGO Member approved by the IUCN Council has further strengthened the Pakistan National Committee of IUCN Members.

The letter highlighted that AHD will benefit from IUCN’s rich global and national experience in conservation, sustainable development, and environmental protection. Moreover, IUCN Pakistan assured its full support to AHD in all future endeavors.

This milestone reflects AHD’s long-standing commitment to safe water solutions, climate resilience, environmental sustainability, and community empowerment. Joining the IUCN family opens new pathways for collaboration, learning, and amplifying our mission to create a sustainable future for vulnerable communities in Pakistan and beyond.

We thank IUCN for this honor and look forward to contributing actively as a member of this global community working for nature and people.
